How exciting! Aww, I wish they'd hatch today too.
I've never had a bator before, so I just get excited thinking about the feed store getting more chicks in, which should be soon now. Oh, it could be today, last year it was this weekend! Or, I could ask for some fertilized eggs from a friend for my broody. I haven't done that in a few years.

i sure can try to help you with all this but me myself i just started my second ever incubation on Tuesday lol my firstone was end of jan hatched in febuary, but anyways i have done alot of reading and got alot of help from alot of people so i am just trying to spread the kmowledge i know have thanks every1 and i will help you as much a si can Dove

Thank you very much! In Jan. on the 30th was my 1st hatch of 2009, 4 out of 28 is all that hatched....this time I set 10 eggs from my own bbred game birds...out of 10 eggs 9 have developed this far I am hoping for my 1st ever 100% hatch rate.

I get excited when I hear them start peeping in the eggs. That is just the best cause you know all your hard work of keeping an eye on them is fixing to pay off.

I haven't heard any chirping that I know of because the 32 7 week old chicks in the livingroom are making quite the racket and it's probably making it where I can't hear these. Wonder if all their racket is prompting them to try to start hatching? What I am seeing in now 3 eggs is a triangled like shaped blemish, is this what it looks like before they get the shell pipped open? I am anxiously awaitng and I have kept my hands off the bator. Oh the temp is 100 and humidity is now 60%
