I do all the time, even when its non-intentional. Of course we have had enough weird things happen that I really cant help it.
There were times though, I only THOUGHT I was imagining things!!

I bring this up because this morning I was taking one of the dogs outside, around 5 am. I was standing there when I heard what sounded like someone walking in the area just a ways down the road from our house. (kind of a junk yard) It was surreal, dark, cold, quiet and these footsteps...brrrrr....the dog did his business and I ran in and locked the door, lol.
They didnt appear to be moving my direction or anything, just seemed to wander around just out of sight. I kept looking over and hoping like heck I didnt SEE anything.
So thats my official freak out for the day...

I freak myself out all the time. The classic one for me is hearing a window opening or someone walking through my living room (imaginary, of course, although sometimes it is the kids LOL). Then I realize that our dog sleeps in the living room, and if someone really were there they would have a hard time explaining to the medics why they're missing an arm or leg LOL....

I do that all the time when I am in my nightie and have to run out back to the woodpile for a few more pieces of wood before bedtime (if dh didn't fill the cart full enough). The more vulnerable you are, the more freaky and nervous you feel! Bad enough to run into a skunk when you're in your pj's, but the boogyman?

I can't help myself. The slightest rustle of noise, and I'm like "eeeep!!" and make a run for the backdoor, slam and lock it. Sometimes you get in those moods where you're so superstitious you could almost MAKE something happen!

Yeah. If someone actually came into our house they would leave hurting pretty badly....chow cross does not take kindly to strangers.
The dog I had outside with me was a dachshund, he is a nice little dog but a wimp, lol.

My daughter says IT wouldnt have a chance, with Max tearing into it and both of us beating the crap out of it,lol.

I know what you all mean. It could have been a SQUIRREL for cripes sakes and I was turning it into a bear!!!!

If you always have a cat or a dog around you can blame any noise on them, therefore nothing bad can really be around.
