Do you ever tick your rooster off on purpose?

I do!
My favorite rooster aggravating trick. I just played my rooster crowing ringtone from the porch, when I knew he was on the side of the house.

He's ticked off bad! He's circling the house, crowing non-stop.

Guess I shouldn't have done it when I'm wanting a nap, huh?

I had a silky rooster that I did not deliberately tick off but DID declare war on him when he kept attacking. He apparantly channeled in some kind of game chicken and forgot he was a silky, as he would attack viciously with no provacation and NOT back down for anything.

I remember going after him with my lunge whip and he just kept coming even with that! Needless to say, with THAT one I was not disappointed when the fox got him.

LOL I crow at my Sebright and he gets all angry. If I get down next to my Bantam Cochin and reach for him he does this funny sidestep/crabwalk into my hand, like he is trying to intimidate me without an actual confrontation. All it does is get him close enough to grab and pet him. My Sebring will attack my legs if I bother any of the pullets, but he weighs all of 8 oz so he just bounces off my ankles and gets more upset. Its funny.

I had a rooster when I was a kid that untied any and everybody's laces when they came to visit. Flogging their shoe as much as possible at the same time!!! Hilarious!! Kept the salesmen at bay, for sure!!!!

My Serama roo is the sweetest thing. Never had a problem with aggression until recently, when my mom put on a new pair of black slippers... then, wham! He tried to KILL them. Flogged 'em, pecked 'em... he doesn't quit until they flip sole side up. Then he circles them to make sure they're dead. I'll toss one in his direction every so often, just to see the fun.

My sister is coming tp visit next week. My mom and I are going to get her to try the slippers on, then let Boo do his thing. Should be amusing.

My DH was on the back porch the other morning and he says ..Honey everytime the roo crows a turkey answers...lol...when he is done crowing he breathes in and makes a turkey gobbling noise! I love my DH but that was funny!
