Do you face sickness asleep or awake?

I have always had debilitating migraines, tension headaches and chronic sinusitus. I have never been what I would call well for over a month at a time in my life

I try very hard to sleep through my misery but the pain is so acute that it is impossible to sleep most of the time. I can't function normally so I just lay there in a dark room and pray for no lights, no noise and no movement. If I am lucky, I will eventually ease off enough to go to sleep and get some relief from it all until I awaken again.
If I get so bad that I can't take it any more I have someone take me to my Dr. who gives me one of those lovely "I don't care" shots and I then sleep it off and am fine again.

oh gosh, I hope you feel better. We have not had, KNOCK WOOD, any sickness go through the family yet this winter. With the 3 kids, I'm usuallythe last to get it. DH sleeps, and sleeps and sleeps. Me and my oldest son are awake most of the time. The other two younger kids are sleepers.

Its usually a stomach bug that hits us so we have lots of ginger ale and buckets around

Winter illnesses stink, feel better soon

I have anxiety, panic attacks and clinical depression. I have a bad gut stem to stern...eroded esophagus to Colitis. Then I have had chronic insomnia since I was about three. Usually I go until I drop over. When I hit 43...I could no longer manage it. I take Ambien for the sleep and that seems to alleviate alot of the rest of it... but there are times when it all hits me at once....and I sleep... day or night until I can function again.

I sleep it off and with my sinus headaches, or migraines, in a dark room and LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!! Do NOT bother me at all until the coop or house is on FIRE OR someone is really dying!

To answer the question, I try to ignore the sickness till I cant stand it anymore, then I pass out for a whole weekend just getting up to go to the bathroom, then back to my cocoon, and sleep some more.
