I just figured that out, but the females have a smaller white spot, don't they? If not, please correct me. I only own Cochin Bantams.

I sex by leg color for Barred Rocks. More accurate then Headspot. There was literally no big difference between my two Heritage Plymouth Barred Rocks headspots.

Is this thread still active? I have these 2 california whites that are throwing me for a loop. They're mixed with white leghorns and I know they're known for getting comb early. 6 1/2 weeks old. 2 different chicks. The one I'm holding isn't usually red at all. I think its fushed because I chased it down and caught it. We are also pretty warm outside.

The first one's head looks course, but I see zero male traits for birds (with LH blood at that) that are almost 7 weeks old.
