Harry came up with "hen pen" one day last fall (at that point, not quite 3 1/2) so we bought some precut letters at a craft store and he painted them and we glued them to a section of old fence board:

I have this over the door...

My MIL got it for me because she kept saying "This is NOT A FARM!"... then we decided to get chickens... and it is slowly but surely turning into Green Acres... MUAHAHAHA!!!

I have also stenciled a roosters head onto the chicken door and plan on painting "Chez Poulet" over it... I also stenciled a bunch of chickens in various poses inside the coop as a sort of wallpaper for the girls. Hahaha! Yes, I'm mental!

I don't yet but I want one when the new coop is finished (mine is the pentagon shaped one). When we first planned on adding to the flock I decided I wanted a sign that said either chicken coop or hen house in Italian but I didn't feel like any of the online translators were giving me the term someone who really speaks Italian would use. My husband's father's side of the family is Italian so our last name is, and the street we live on has an Italian name.
Anyway, now that the coop is going to be pentagon shaped I'm thinking some clever pun having to do with chickens and the Pentagon would be fun. But I'm not feeling very clever since I can't seem to come up with anything better than "The Pentacoop".
What do you all think?
