Do you have an opinion?

Sometimes I feel like the only one around here. Do any of you have an opinion that is different from the viewpoint of pretty much the rest of the general population?

Maybe it's that I don't understand where you all are coming from, but obviously the feeling is mutual because people think that I am some heartless enemy of the state because... oops! I have an opinion that's different from theirs.

Often I feel pretty queasy reading about what some people think on certain topics, but I don't say anything and I respect what they think. I only wish that those same people would show some courtesy too. I hate how some people group everyone who doesn't share their ideas into one group: "To be looked down upon". I'm seriously getting to see a whole other side of some people!!

I knew I shouldn't have posted this in GJF.

But anyway, I'm talking about stuff to do with culture... the environment... the military... people give so much of a toss about all this stuff that sometimes I feel physically uncomfortable being around them because I don't agree with it.

OK, so a mining company is in a dispute to do with land that has cultural significance. I'm on the mining company's side.
The news does a really long bulletin on yet another soldier who's been killed in the war, well I'd rather they did an item on that guy who spent his life rescuing people from the mountains, and died on his latest job.

I know: SHOOT ME. I know most people would be dying to. When I talk about this stuff, sometimes even my dad sounds like he disapproves.

I'm reffering mainly to culture too; I have weird views that people tend to disagree with or treat me as if I was a fool for going along with them. So yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Almost everything I'm into is strange or different to what everyone else agrees with...

I have a big mouth. Sometimes I think it would be better if I just kept it shut. But it would drive me insane just to nod and smile and agree with everything that's being said.

I'm glad someone else knows what it's like.
Everyone thinks there's something wrong with my opinion, but guess what, to me, there is something wrong with YOUR opinions! There are two sides to everything. Opinions aren't right or wrong, in my... opinion... okay, that was weird.
