Not the best pic, as I think I took it with my camera phone, before I got my Rebel. I'm a Chevy girl, and no, I don't regret it.

This is a very interesting thread! I'm surprised by some people's reactions to this subject. I don't have my tat yet, but it will be of a oak tree that has been very special to me. I plan to get it on my back, centered, though dh isn't sure I can handle a tat on my spine. I told him that I've got some padding, it's not like it would be on the bone

! I mean I had a baby naturally at home-I should be able to handle the annoying repetitive pain of a tat!

Hey Asher! I saw your comment on the faces with names thread before it got deleted, (my reply did too), and just wanted to let you know that I will have the hubby take some new shots of my work and I will post them here asap! Thanks for the compliment, but I am afraid that my arms are far from done

Our posts got deleted? I haven't been back to that thread so didn't know. Thanks! Can't wait to see it, looks great in those pics! I have a few friends with full arm sleeves. The detail and time that goes in to them is amazing!

ANYWAY, my tattoos (which I designed myself) are an expression of my heritage as a Native American and as a sign of strength and honor.
A heritage that I am VERY proud of.

All of you who wish to see tattoos, check mine out.

I got this new tat for my birthday back in October:

Chick a dee....the Red Cross does accept folks that had blood transfusion after a limited time has passed. If this was a long time ago, you can donate. My hubby has been with the Red Cross for many years before it downsized.

According to the Red Cross requirements, any person got a tattoo must wait ONE year before donating blood.

Thanks to folks who donate blood!

Beautiful tattoos! Alot of women have tasteful tattoos that are so lovely to look at! I dont see too many men with naked women figures on their forearms back in the days of my grandfather who was in the military......most of them have their units name or emblems on their bodies.

I, personally, do not like tattoos on my body but I do appreciate body arts on someone else!

All three of my grown daughters have them. I'm disappointed about it, but they're "old enough to screw their own lives up now". I have a feeling they'll regret them eventually. Even if you had a Rembrandt hanging on your wall, you'd get tired of looking at it after a decade or two.

I had a beautiful cousin ("Trish the Dish", behind her back) who had two cherries tattooed on her shoulder. A couple kids and a hundred pounds later, they're pink tomatoes.

I told our young son that if he gets one while he's living in our house, I'll remove it with sandpaper.

I don't think getting a tattoo is "screwing your life up". Your opinion is just that though...an opinion and nothing more.
