Ok so.
My old 7 year old hen,has been meaner to my 1 year olds lately.is it cause the heat is worse here?
Often cannibalism occurs when they are in an enclosure to small, the chickens are bored, low on salt, or it's just the pecking order. Generally, it's probably not the heat.

Hello!!! I have 2 bantams that I got this past year and I absolutely love them!! I was wondering though if they are cold hearty? These 2 are my first bantams, so I know very little about them. I have a partridge cochin bantam and I am pretty sure I have an EE. She is a hybrid of some sort. I was also wondering if they will get any bigger. I got them at the beginning of March.

I have a question i have 6 isa brown hens and 1 black cochin bantam and for what I think a welsummer rooster but he might be mixed he was give to us and they said he about 1

Any questions? Anyone?
I have a question. I have a millie hen that lives inside. She has a parrot cage and shes my baby. I had a cup of miralax water on the table and she drank 3 or 4 beak fulls. She usually doesnt get on the table so by the time I tried to stop her it was too late. I gave her corn and regular water. Will she be ok?

Hello I am a new baby chicken parent I need help keeping my baby chicks warm, so I just arrived home with them but it’s summer right now which means it’s hot, so I brought them inside but we have an air conditioner inside an I saw my chickens huddling close together in a corner and they were shaking, I was worried they would freeze so I brought them outside in the shade there doing better but I’m worried that the can over heat what should I do to keep them at a good temperature? Thank you
Hello! I've been on BYC quite a long time and I've had many people ask me questions. I thought, why don't I make a thread where people can ask their questions? So, ask me anything about chickens, and I will answer to best of my ability!

A little bit about me...
I've been on BYC since 2012. Studying chicken knowledge frequently, I am very knowledgable on poultry diseases and telling the breed/gender of poultry. I know some information about other poultry (quail, turkeys, ducks, etc.), and a little on cats, dogs, rabbits, and swine. I've completed several presentations, including ones on chicken biosecurity and show quality chickens. Also, I have several years of experience in showing chickens, and I've had a champion bird and gotten proficient scores in fitting and showing (which is poultry knowledge).

Alright, please ask me some chicken questions! :)

Hello!
We moved 6 chickens to a new home about 20 miles away. The 2 bantam roosters flew away as soon as we opened the box. The other 4 hung around. It's been overnight and they don't seem to be around. Will they ever return?

The OP hasn't been online here since 2021 so you're unlikely to get a response. You have, however, received some answers to this question on your new member intro: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/relocation.1643723/
