DO YOU HAVE MORE CHICKENS THAN ORDINANCE ALLOWS?

Allowed 20 - Have 40 + 12 quail - Have had over 100 at times plus
ducks, turkies, 3 dogs, etc...

I am guilty of having more then I am allowed. But also know that I am not the only one in my area doing so.

I need a specific amount to provide for my family.

I have no idea how many I can have.

But, I live just one town over from Nifty, so if he can have 4 hens in his siggy line, then so can I.

Oh I am sooo guilty, town allows 2 I have 11, my neighbors (8) dont mind and so far no one complains...I do give them free eggs and my chickens keep their compost pile turned! I plan on getting 2 more at a swap this weekend. No roosters so far, and I wont go that far.....unless I find a quiet one...hehe

I live in the city and not supposed to have any. But i have 15 lol 2 roosters =] had them for about 9 months and i've had up to 5 roo's at once =]

Our city ordinances also say no cows, goats, horses, etc. are allowed within 150 feet of other people's homes and are not allowed to roam outside of a fence. Some people who live near us have a cow that stays in the road half the time and wanders all over the place, so I would think that would be an issue before our chickens would be an issue. At least our chickens stay penned in our back yard and we also have a privacy fence around the entire back yard.

We did!!! Before we moved recently, we were allowed 5 chickens and 1 roo. Well we had 20 hens and 1 roo (not all together). So we moved and we can now have 99 (like who is gonna count?) and we now have 36
