Do you HAVE to use the flat rate price...?

If you use the USPS Flat Rate Box, the rule is you have to pay the flat rate price, no matter if you turn it inside out or cover the words Flat Rate....................

Couldn't you use the 12x12x8 size? That is not a flat rate box, just a thought!

if you dont mind me asking, how much was it to ship 29 duck eggs? I thought the bigger the box, the more you'd have to pack it to keep eggs from breaking and then it would just end up coming close to the flat rate price anyway

If you are using stamps.com, just go to their webstore and order free USPS shipping supplies. They have a plethora of boxes that are free that can be mailed any priority mail way.

"Thank you for using Priority Mail Service" "Priority Mail postage required".

edited to add: Exactly the same is printed on the inside of the #07 USPS Priority Box.

It is just based on weight. There is no way to get 29 eggs in a flat rate box safe. those boxes are smaller and to be honest, it is not that much more. 6 eggs in a little box will be the same shipping as 8 eggs in a large box. The weight is different but both boxes will be between 1-2 pounds. I have NEVER broken an egg due to poor packing. Now I posted a picture of a box a few days ago the PO kicked in, or looked liked it with no broekn eggs. Do that with a small box with little padding=broken eggs. The bigger boxes give you more room to pad the sides for impact, the smaller ones do not.
