Concerned about a white spot (?) on my beloved silkie rooster. Has anyone seen this before?

Looks like another bird eat some of it or he caught it on something. Just my opinion. But it looks like it would have been hard to see the dried up blood until it started to heal with his black skin

It might be a little spot of favus, a fungal infection. Or it could just be where there has been a small scrape or peck wound that is healing. You can put some antifungal cream on it daily to see if it clears up. Miconazole or clotrimazole are 2 generics that are easily found in many stores.

Looks like he got pecked , I’d apply polysporin or a topical antibiotic just because it looks so dry ,

He’s fine mama ❄️

Even saying the word "favus" makes me cringe and itch. That demo photo of that poor roo covered in the crud makes me want to run away screaming.

You should know it's fungal if applying an antifungal makes the stuff disappear. Blu-kote is a good antifungal, too. Gentian violet is the main ingredient, and I remember when my baby sister was a toddler she got her mouth painted purple to get rid of thrush which looks just like that.
