I think most actions performed by fowl is some how benfical so what I was thinking about is why do my chickens dust bath? My hens have been doing a great deal of laying around in the dirt nearly buring themselves in the dust.so what is your thoughts?

it helps them control mites and stuff like that. They also clean themselves by doing that. Dust "bath"

Keeps them cool also. Mine do that when it's really hot.

I'm gonna guess this I'm sure the correct answer will show up. First reason to protect them from bugs. Second reason a scent blocker.
