Do you know your blood pressure?

Last time I checked mine it was 116/69 with a resting heart rate of 57. I'm 25, I don't smoke, don't take birth control, and I hadn't had any caffeine that day, so that has an effect as well.

The lowest mine has ever been was 108/66 hr of 52. That was a few years ago when I was running about four miles a day, six days a week.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I am all too familiar with high BP I take medications for it and on the rare ocassion I get a cold, I have to take a medicaiton that is specifically for high blood pressure...They make them for over the counter as well. I take my BP every day having had a stroke in labor with my last child.

Resting 122/81 Active 118/79 - 143/85

What a tragedy, my thoughts and prayers are with her family and you as you grieve.

Mine used to be 149/95. Then I cut my carbs below 50g/day, eliminated grains and starches, etc..

Now mine is right around 110/62. I check it weekly.

Mine is really low too, the only time I can get it even that high is when I am pregnant.

huh. Mine seemed to drop when I was preggo

Now, mine is 90/60 on a good day. Years ago when I was pregnant it would drop as low as 60/40. Used to freak my OB out, but I felt fine.

My has always ran high, and after 3 heart surgeries, my dr, wanted it checked prettty regular. Usually ran 150/90 and pulse 45, started taking Miss Prissy's ACV every day, now B/P is 120/72 and pulse still in the 40's . don't know if that helped but i sure like the numbers. marrie

108/64 was mine yesterday at the dentist... I know NOTHING about BP...but DH says "So basically you're dead." when he heard my numbers... is my BP really that low or is he full of it? Its always that number no matter what. And my blood suger, after eating, is about 80-85... could the two facotrs combined explain my constant state of lethargy?

I for one have been hypertensive for years and have faithfully taken BP meds. One pill, once a day, no excuse. It will make your life good, its so simple. I have told many people that say they have an issue and ignore the treatment. I frequently remind them that often it doesn't kill...only mames them for the remainder of their life. Granted some folks are so fortunate to come back from strokes but most don't. Someone wipes their nose and feeds the rest.
It may not be 100% fact, but it startles folks in realizing they do not want that to happen and begin treating it. (Phew)

For me, its 3 pills to treat my BP, that is ok, it means I live a life with less of the risks of stroke, heart attack, kidney damage. Keep up the good work on keeping your BP's down and those of you with low BP, lucky dogs!!!!!!!!!
