Do you like apple pie?

this is a fave recipe of mine cause i cant make a good pie crust to save my life
and my kids will eat the filling and leave the crust on the frozen store bought crusts

Impossible Apple Pie

3 cups sliced peeled all-purpose apples (3 large)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup Bisquick
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon margarine, butter or spread,* softened
2 eggs

Streusel (see recipe below)

Heat oven to 325°. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Stir together apples, cinnamon and nutmeg; turn into pie plate. Stir remaining ingredients except Streusel until blended. Pour into pie plate. Sprinkle with Streusel. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pie.

Streusel
1/2 cup Bisquick
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons firm margarine, butter or spread
Stir together all ingredients until crumbly

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 375°.

1 Serving: 330 calories (130 calories from fat); 14 g fat (3 g saturated); 70 mg cholesterol; 400 mg sodium; 48 g carbohydrate (2 g dietary fiber); 5 g protein.

Apple pie is my favorite. I worked at a farm market for several years when i was young. They grew a Stayman Winesap apple that I fell in love with. And they are hard to find. Its funny you mention them today, I just bought a bunch at the Livestock auction flea market on tuesday and plan to make a pie or crisp. They are so juicy, slightly tart and crispy....oh....Im gonna have to go and get one right now....

yes I have tried that one too... I have made a lot of them my kids love the chicken and broccoli one... they make great last minute meals and are also great for brunches and pot lucks

I am making this pie this weekend but we love apple pie with black walnuts. All I have are granny smith apples so it won't be as good as yours but it will still be yummy. Never heard of those apples around here

Wish they had them here. We have an apple orchard nearby but they don't grow that kind either. Those apples look wonderful all by themselves. thanks for sharing your recipe and please get well soon.
