Ooh okay, like a cantaloupe? I did buy some dragon tongue beans to try this year after tasting them at a farmers market during the summer. They’re so beautiful!
Yes! I didn't think to call it that Lol I love the looks of those! I got some purple beans a few years ago and was a little dissapointed that the color didn't keep in them after cooking. I decided to go back to what I've had in previous years, but the colorful ones are definitely more fun to look at Lol What's your favorite thing to grow?

Aw, that is disappointing. I love growing tomatoes, I feel like I get the most use out of them and it’s really satisfying to make my own tomato products…I grew bodacious hybrids and honeycomb hybrids last year and I loved them! This year I bought several varieties from Baker Creek; Korean long, Hungarian Heart, Jersey Devil and Brads Atomic ones.

What about you? You have such a huge gardening space and you sound like you’ve tried an awful lot of things, I would love to hear your favorites 🙂

Will you try corn again next year? This is muskmelon-

Yeah, I think the garden is roughly 80 by 90 Haha You should try growing beans! They taste so much better than boughten!
Aid, that is a rock melon....😶‍🌫️

I really enjoyed growing watermelon last year and plan to do alot more this year! But I always get a good harvest from tomatoes and use them the most I think. I usually do a mix of the beefsteak and bigboy variety! I think this year I planted about 70 plants. I've not started ordering yet though, so I might try something a bit different. I also plan on trying popcorn again this year and I'm hoping it goes good! What got you into gardening and canning?

Wow so many plants, how wonderful to have that amount of space for your garden! Popcorn? That sounds fun! What variety are you growing for your poppin corn? There are some beautiful ones out there. Do you end up using everything you grow or do you sell and gift it? Im very excited to start planting in spring. This year I am trying my hand at some flowers to try and fashion bouquets, so I’ve order a huge variety…just gotta put some fencing around the planters so the chickens don’t dust bathe in them.

My mother is very into gardening, canning and making tinctures. I always thought I didn’t have the room to do any gardening but then she gave me a duplicate canning book she had. That started me interested in canning - which you gotta have something to can, so I figured I’d try growing a few things just in pots and wherever I could find the space. Coincidentally it all happened around the time we started raising chickens and I realized how good it felt to be even just a little more self sufficient. And not to mention it’s been crazy for groceries and whatnot the last few years, so my goal is to really become more self sufficient.
