Do you made your chicken coop manually?

My coop started out looking like this:

Then I got a call from my neice. She said she had 6 week old chicks, wanted to know if I wanted them because I had talked about maybe getting some at the last family get together. I said sure and had 5 days to convert my shed into a coop.

Then the obsession continued to:

Yikes.. we need another coop!

I'm thinking now we need a bigger coop!

Mine is "officially" finished. Which means it is goat proof. It is really making the goats mad, my rooster is none too pleased either, he likes riding the goat.

We got a shed from a neighbor that wasn't using it, and a laying box from another friend. The rest came with blood, sweat, rain, tears, power tools, cash and many trips to Ace Hardware.

The guys at Ace were disappointed I didn't bring any critters with me yesterday. The last two trips I had a turkey and a mess of hens.

The tools are still down by the coop. I've got a bunch of seeds I'm going to plant around the perimeter and some prettying up to do. I'm trying to figure out how to make a hoop skirted scarecrow. My run doesn't have much cover and I figure it would provide some shade/cover. I'll let ya know how it goes.
