Do you name your birds

I try not to name my birds. I mean their lives can end in so many ways and I mean they are food themselves. To me none of that means I cannot be friends with them or show them love.

Oh, I really like the colours on that third one! Looks like a hawk or an eagle!

Most of my flock has names. Especially the ducks. The chickens, minus a very few, belong to my daughter and grandson so they sometimes have names.

When herding the ducks into their coops at night, they get yelled at by their names, lol! If one is going to be destined for the freezer though, I try not to name them.

For me, most of the time it's easier using a name instead of "that chicken, the Easter egger without a dumb head poof".
All of my birds have names as long as they can be told apart.
