I always name my chickens! I have 14 Blossom, Jessie, lily, Marigold, hope, Daffy, Amelia, Royal, Almanzo, Leia, tilda, Belle, Evelyn and Josephine I was wondering if other people name their chickens?
Yes I have Rudy rooster šŸ“ then all the girls....Lavender, Lily, Poppy , Daisy, Bluebell, Blossom and Rose xx

Naming them is one of my favorite parts. I also love hearing my kids call them by their names...Not a fan of having to change their girls names to boys names though...
I had 2 Orpingtons that I name Ruth and Idgie after Fried Green Tomatoes. Of course, Ruth died. So I got a Blue Orpington and named her Sipsy. "She" apparantly now is a boy, so it's new boy name is Frank Bennett. Hopefully he's not a jerk that likes to abuses the ladies too...
We got some quail too, they are not named yet because I don't know who's boys and girls and who gets to stay, but a few have temporary names like brownie, pasty butt, quasi (that one had a rough hatch and kinda has a hunchback...not sure if it's gonna make it long term) an the 2 that I can't tell apart are Mary Kate and Ashely.

Ours is just a small backyard flock of 6 hens. They are our pets so they all have names. We love puns so here they are... 2 Easter Eggers: Lizzy Hennet after Lizzy Bennet from Pride and Prejudice and Chris Hensworth after the actor Chris Hemsworth. 2 Wyandottes: Our Columbian is named after the actor, Peter Falk, who played Columbo. Her name is Peter Yolk. Our Blue Laced Red is Cluck Kent, as in Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman. 2 Whiting True Blues: They are our "Star Wars" Chickens. Hen Solo and Princess Laya Eggana. We even named our coop. It is the Cluck Yeah Estates.

So I'm a big Bob Dylan fan...just ask my kids. Anyway, my girls are named after either a girl from one of his songs, a song title or one of his nicknames. Johanna, Ramona, Peggy Day, Terri, Isis, Maggie, Zimmy, Bobbi, Angelina and Rainy are the 1yr old hens. My kids asked if I was going with a different theme with the chicks. Nope! šŸ˜‚ Louise, Queen Jane, Sweet Marie, Claudette, Twist, Fate, Annie, Sadie, Corrina, Baby Blue. And yes, I know them all very well. Lol!

I have 19 and I have named my one PBB Lily but she turned into Leroy a week or so ago. Now we have Marble, Maple, Ombre, Ozzie, Leroy Jenkins, Willow, Tiger Lily, Sunny, Honey, Clover, Bluebelle, Buttercup, Tinkerbell, Cali, Penny, Ginger, Fern, Butters and Yum Yum šŸ˜‹
Love the name Yum Yum!
