Do you need a light in the brooder

They still need aheat source. We may think it is warm enough but they may not. At three weeks the brooder should still be up aroung 80-85 degees. Lower the temp by 5 degrees per week. I start mine out at around 100 then down from there. Not all the brooder is that hot, just at the heat source.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure. I guess they sleep with the light on and it doesn't bother them. We have our brooder at 80 degrees. What's the coolest it should be in the brooder if you go down by 5 degrees per week
