do you need to feed cornish chick starter?

Should i feed cornish chickens chick starter? if so for how long?

I just start right of with the broiler maker food. It is better formulated for meaties and seems to cause less casualties than the starter. Not sure why.

How about caponized roosters? I dont' know how I'd keep them separate from the others for feeding......
