Do you need to turn on the incubator early?

Just an FYI, if you get the temp stable ahead, and you add the eggs, it may take a little bit for the temp to get back up as it will be heating the eggs. I got nervous the first time as it took about 30 minutes and the low temp emergency beep went off!

I've never had it drop low enough for the temperature alarm to sound. That must have been scary!

It was the first time it happened! But it was just after I put them in, so I knew it wouldn’t affect the eggs as they had just gone from room temp to the incubator. Maybe they were colder than my previous hatches?
