Well more power to them for separating fools from their money. I'm happy the OP posted this link as I received an education following this.
I do collect rare items, but that was from Europe and they were actually rare items. RARE chicken are another thing, and actually need to be rare not just melanistic.

edit- Ask me about French corckscrew markings, I am actually an expert in something!

It's a kadaknath breed chicken native to india.Yes,closely related to ayam cemani,svarthona and even silkie...
It used to be rare but not anymore.
500 $ is too much for that... In india we get it for Rs 1000( Around 17 US $)
