When we moved into this house, we found a relatively new AC unit in the workshop, so I just put it in the window every year and seal it off best I can. It's not nearly as awesome as it sounds. And I have to clean the filter every 1 - 2 days.

Yes ofc I spoil them. Heat lights and chicken soup in the winter, lots of chicken food and fruit salads in the summer, along with frozen treats, and they all get told goodnight every night.

Call it being spoiled or call it being loved. They are our precious ladies that do their lady business like no one else. I too say good night every night and take pleasure in their sweet murmurs as they settle into their choice spot on the roost. Although, that Dixie of mince can be rather loud at times.
