So... What do you say when you talk to your eggs?
I have found myself talking to my little eggs every time I turn them. Saying things like "Mommy loves her liddol babies!"

. Just now I found myself singing a little song about meadows, sunshine, chick fluff, and being nice to each other. AHEM! Ok, I'm blushing, LOL!
It's my babies day 4 today, and I just candled my eggs! Wooo Hooo! I saw veins in all 7 of my little eggies!

I walk into the room yelling "here chicky chicky"...

Then I tell them that "mommy doesn't wan't to turn them"

Then I tell X11 that he is a "good little Roo"... But his name is spelled Roux (Like a Chicken and Sausage Gumbo Roux)

The my wife walks in and says "If that rooster chases me because of what you told him, he is the first to go in the pot"

That is our routine...

Yes, always. Talk, sing, (eta: hum, cluck, peep) whatever. It's a good think I let most of the broodies hatch for me instead of incubating or my husband might put me in the looney bin. He just doesn't understand the "chicken state of mind". You just HAVTA do these things.

I honestly don't think anyone around here would be surprised to hear me... they know I'm loony!

Jordan, I have to ask, how do you know its a roo egg? I keep seeing people say "roo egg", and I don't understand
