I am currently treating my rooster Thor for a foot problem, so every night at roost time I have to bring him in the house for doctoring.
He's entertaining my stepdaughters and grandson with his antics. They especially like how he uses my arm for a napkin after his treatment is over and I offer him goodies.
Tonight he decided to jump down from the countertop and explore the kitchen, doing his I'm the man strut.
I have seriously considered putting a diaper on him and keeping him in for awhile.
Do you think DH would notice a 13 lb. rooster wearing a diaper roaming the house?

Not if there's a ball game (of any sort) on.

Well since he doesn't watch sports I guess what you are telling me is that I could keep my roo in the house if I didn't mind the military channel being on 24/7.

If I had one wandering around, my DH wouldn't notice him at all. He'd probably think it was our son. Or he'd ask it to get him a Coke from the fridge.

Just play dumb, and hope Thor doesn't crow! 'Honey, I have no idea how he got that diaper on, or how he got in the house! We must have a very smart rooster!'
