I am thinking about selling a pair or trio of india blue yearlings and getting a silver pied and/or purple pair. My question is will it be safe to have a yearling male in with adult males, because I might not be able to find yearling silver pieds or purples near by.

Well ok if you have alot of room, I do in my very large flight pen. Most time it the 2 yr old males that older peacocks will attack, not yearlings.

He should be fine...Now that Alto is two I have seen Dragon act a bit aggressive to him and next year it might not be so friendly so I plan to move Alto out of the pen with Dragon. As a yearling there were no problems with Alto and Dragon. Dragon didn't even care about Alto.

I still think he will be fine even in a smaller pen. A yearling peacock wouldn't be considered competition to an adult, unless maybe if this yearling has a full train or something.
