So true if the laws make it more profitable to move companies will. Maybe it's something the president should be working on.

I don't believe the answer is found in taxes and/or tariffs. We need to rethink what people need and want, and construct business models to meet these needs. Our labor laws are failing to meet the needs of the people and have made doing business in America too expensive to compete. People want security of food and shelter, and some happiness (vacation and spending money) Consider how many people would take a factory job if room and board was provided, a decent work schedule, and some spending money. Think of how much money a business could save if they no longer had to pay factory workers $20 a hour (when those in other countries are hired for less than $20 a day)

Is this what you are proposing as a working model for American society? You know, people used to live above their shops or on site until social engineers and tax collectors put their heads together and decided to make people build separate shops and drive across town to access them.

Easy for you to say while enjoying your government inflated salary, i.e. tax payer provided income. I wonder how many would believe your income is an efficient use of tax payer funds.

Our standard of living is going down and the standard of living in countries like China is going up - we will meet in the middle a global class of low payed workers without benefits, living wages or job security.

blah,blah, blah..... All academic front porch talk. What is "money?" How is this fiat currency you discuss backed? Nameless, faceless families control this paradigm, and decide the fate of economies and empires. How can one calculate, debate ,argue or even understand finances and our economy without injecting this dynamic. Isnt our own dollar simply a bank note?

Yes this is what I propose for an alternate method of doing business in America. Work for room, board, and some spending money. It can be done decently, with proper housing and time off. I see it as a way to be globally competitive.
