recently i noticed the scales on my hen were risen up so i have been putting vetrx on her legs to treat scaly leg mite but she has been preening her self a lot more then she normally does and she does it every few minutes. she isn't losing energy though but do you think she has mites? i keep the coop very clean, she free ranges all day and i put de in her dust baths. so what would you suggest for treating it? im order some supplies from murry mcmurry soon so is their any good mite products they sell that i should get?

I have had mites on my chickens and all you need to do is purchase some sevins dust.

Just keep rubbing the dust on your chickens feathers and feet to kill them on the chickens. Be sure to compleately coat your coop with the dust to kill the mites on the roost, floor, hen boxes and ect. Thats what I did to eradicate an infestation.

It should work for you too. Good luck.
