Silkies are walking incubators and that's a fact!
Last year one of my girls became broody after laying her first egg in her life!
I personally have to regularly remove the eggs from them, because if they see a lot of eggs in the nest, they immediately become broody.
On the video you have proof where I separated one of my girls and showed her a bunch of eggs...it didn't take her long!
I have a problem at the moment, because I have 3 broody girls, all three are together in the coop, they steal each other's eggs and steal fresh eggs from the nest, I have to constantly lamp all the eggs and return the eggs to their owners (because not all eggs are the same age). They constantly push each other in the nests, even poop on each other:th...they are very stubborn and persistent when they are broody!:he:he:he
