do you think too many chicks could be grounds for a divorce?

My hubby actually likes them he says they make the best pets. They cost $1.50 as chicks, They give you eggs for breakfst and they eat all the bugs in the yard. You couldn't ask for a better pet. He likes my dog to but he won't admit to it!

I think he was just a litte frustrated yesterday. I have an incubator full of eggs (well had to throw some out last night after candling). We went to pick up more fencing to fence in more land. Then we ran around town chasing down the baby chicks (14 babies) that were suppose to come in the mail. Then he went to his oldest daughters and picked up 4 -7 or 8 week old sumantra/silkies and 3 - 1 week old sumantras. When he got home I had and picked up 7 guineas!!! I think it was a little too much.

He said how are we going to feed all of them and I explained to him that since I have gotten into chickens I don't have to take antidepressants. I told him he could make a choice spend 80 bucks a month on antipressants or spend that money on chicken feed and have fresh eggs. The teachers at school are anxiously awaiting for my polish to start laying so they can start buying fresh eggs from me when school starts back.

The night before we were pulling corn and I asked him if he enjoyed the animals? He answered I really do.

My hubby is wonderful with our ducks chickens and turkeys he will sit in his chair at night and have one critter or another in his lap watching tv the ducks are his favorite, and when he sees them hatching hes happy helps with the water and feeding and getting the pools filled for them hes a great hubby I dont count how many I have just so when he says how many do we have now? I can answer I dont know

My DH is a city boy, and well i am the opposite. It was his idea along time ago that he thought it would be neat to have some chickens for eggs. Now that we have chickens he complains about them. He went with me to the feed store this spring and it was also his idea that day to get some chicks. We brought them home and then he complained about them to.I dont think he actually hates them, but he loves to complain about them. He can be very annoying about it. Several times he has told me he hated dealing with them. (even though he doesnt) and I have offered to give them away, And then he wont let me get rid of them. un And men say women are hard to understand.Like I said I am totally convinced that he likes them, but he needs something to complain about.
