Just curious how many people feed organic. My local feed store now carries "Nature's Best Organic Feeds" and I was considering switching. Anyone use this feed?

I would love to feed organic, but at the moment there isn't any cheap enough feed round here which is

I think you should though:)

That's what I'm looking into at the moment...finding a good source in kentucky for bulk organic and or soy free and or GMO free feed for our animals...Am also in the process of planting a large section of Comfrey plants to feed the animals...

I feed an organic soy-free corn-free starter to all of my birds at all life stages. I generally buy one of the two at the link below. Magill is already certified organic and Scratch and Peck is in the certification process.

It is expensive. I buy the higher protein starter rather than the grower so that I can lower these high costs by growing a fodder blend -- I use red wheat berries. barley and BOSS. I buy the wheat and barley organic from Azure Standard as well. (They might just be west coast. I'm not sure) The only thing I have not been able to find organic is the BOSS. I only have 6 hens and right now am only buying a 45lb bag of food every 2 months.

I've used Natures Best & it's a good feed. A 50 lb. bag always lasted me longer than other feeds. I presently am feeding Organic Unlimited Soy free pellets & have used a local organic soy free mash. I prefer organic, but have used conventional feed. The local mash is most affordable at $31 for 80 lbs. or about $19.75/50. Organic Unlimited is $25.50 for 50 lbs. Nature's Best is carried by my feed store & even though it is made in PA, it was the most expensive at $35.99/50. the last time I bought it.

I am not feeding organic feed at the moment, but would love to switch all my animals over to all organic feed. I am tired of feeding my animals feed that has tons of GMO'd corn, corn syrup and all kind of cr*p like that.
