I started out as a CNA in a nursing home in 1988. Several years later worked my way up to CMA. Got REALLY tired of the nursing home scene so after 4 years of college I recieved my Associates in Applied Science in Radiology. Started out as a regular X-ray tech in a small rural hospital and in 2003 I started at a Level I trauma center doing vascular radiology. I had the pleasure of working with a world famous radiologist and spent many long, long nights dissolving blood clots in brains of stroke patients and fixing aneurysms. The satisfaction of seeing those patients come in to ER near death and walk out of the hospital a week later healthier than they were a year ago is unexplainable. I REALLY miss it! Last year, I had to move back to the rural community where I grew up to be closer to my Father, who is very ill. I love being back home, but I do miss $30 p/hour!!!! As of right now, I am a stay at home Mom and get to spend lots of time with my kids and my feathered friends!
