do your chickens come in the house

im getting chickens soon want to know if you leave the door open do your chickens wander inside your house?

Mine would definately come inside.

They do get to come in if they are sick or injured. I have had a few tub chickens... But everyone returns outside once they are recovered.

A few of mine will come in the back door if it's left unattended

We had a nice day a couple of weeks ago so I had the back door open to the deck. The screen was closed but it has a hole in it thanks to the cat. I was working inside and heard the chattering of a hen wandering around on the deck - and then realized that her chattering sounds were even closer - she had come in through the hole and was wandering around the dining room.

Well my silkie I just got and a younger EE are staying in a rabbit cage in basement at the moment till it gets warmer and stops raining.I just put them together yesterday and there already friends.

We just got a new Serama Roo that has all of a sudden forgot he was a chicken. He has free run of the house at the moment. If we leave his sight he will start clucking and looking for us. We had to run to town so locked him in the office and when we got home it was like he wouldn't speak to us. He was mad. But he is a chicken, he will get over it.
