For the last week or so, when I go into the coop to feed the chicks (4 weeks) there is always some food left in their feeder. However, when I pick up the feeder to put more in, they go nuts. They even fly up and land on the feeder while I'm trying to put food in. Once it hits the floor, they pile onto it trying to get to the food. I want to say "Uh, there was already food there you know". Anyone else have chicks that go into a feeding frenzy like that. It's not like they didn't have food to begin with.
