I'm the one who posted the original question about the worms. My dominiques from last year wouldn't eat them, so I threw out the worm bin.
Wouldn't you know it... the speckled sussex that I ordered this year slurp them down. They seem to be more aggressive at foraging and really love the worms. Now I wish I kept those worms!
I have noticed that they go at the bugs with more gusto when I don't keep their feeder full all day long. Letting them get a little empty makes them hustle more for the free, more nutritious food the yard provides.
