Do your chickens like earthworms?

Earthworms are the bomb here. Very soon I will turn my garden over to them and they will go crazy spending most of their time hunting the elusive worm.

My Buff Orps LOVE worms! Cream Puff probably likes um the best. She will did them up her self, and let me find them too! Its kinda fun watching her, but also a little bit .

It is a bit gross to watch them sucking up the earthworms, especially if they are really long and fat ones. They must be mighty tasty though...

Not all of mine like worms, or dried fly larvae. They all have their own preference, my flick is a mixed flock of breeds.

Same here. Each bird has their own preferences. None seem too keen on Earthworms.

If you have chicken poo, you have a worm bed where you compost the poop. Chickens are "chicken" of new things. I have one buff who almost had a heart attack when i put a cricket on her foot for the first time. she jumped around and ran off like her head was on fire. after they discover they are a small Tyrannosaurus , if it moves its on.
One of my ISA browns will stomp a mud hole on a garter snake and turn it up like a pelican.

I like to think my hens don’t like me to get too overheated when I’m turning compost - after a few scoops, they jump in the way to devour worms…clearly to give me a break.
