Luckily I'm 48 and have evaded the baby lust so far. My chickens are cuter than yours Katy.

Now I get enjoy the grandbabies tho.

LOL lots of input there!

Update I just got back from lunch...she was sitting at her table staring at the photo of baby on her phone for like 7 minutes... not even changing it just looking at the one pic. I am a proud mom, I like to brag my kids up, but only to ppl I know care. Then as I was turning the page of my book I accidentally made eye contact and boom "so, baby is eating peas now, can you believe it!? Peas!" ----uh yeah I can believe it, thats what the green stuff in the baby food jars is usually made up of, and shes 5 months old (as of yesterday we were ALL made aware of) so I would hope she was eating SOMETHING by now...

You can fight fire with fire. When she brings out pictures and tales of her little bundle of joy you can reciprocate with pictures and tales of your chickens. I used to do this with my goats. Worked every time. People couldn't get away fast enough. Which is what I had in mind BTW.

I had a friend who got all kinds of o-fended when she invited me to watch her change her baby's diaper, (as if it was a high honor right up there with high tea with the Queen) and I just stared at her for about 10 seconds and said "you're kidding, right?"

I feel for you.

I have a co-worker who drives me up the walls by telling me the gory details of her friends (who I have never met in my life) dramatic divorce. And to make matters worse, she forgets that she's told me and will repeat the same stories day after day!

I've learned that if you get an opening, to change the topic of conversation to chickens. You know you're almost home free when their eyes start to glaze over.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Just because it's natural doesn't mean the whole world needs to see it!
