Do your ducks eat pulled weeds?

I envisioned when I bought these ducks that I could toss weeds from my gardening to the ducks and they would scarf them down similiar to my sister's chickens. That has turned out to not be the case.

I have 2 KCs (had 3 until two nights ago) and they are picky eaters. They eat my feed and leftover salad. They don't eat grass or anything natural to my yard.

Is it my KCs? Should a little bit of hunger change their mind?

What duck breed, if any, would do pulled weeds? I have a massive yard and seem to pull a trashcan full of weeds every time I start.

Have you tried putting the weeds in a kiddie pool of fresh water? My runners (and KCs have runner in their genetics) love that.

Also - what kind of weeds? Maybe there is something there they know better than to eat?

The weeds I tried so far were dandelion and grass that was growing in the garden area. I tossed some in the pool and I'll let you know how that goes. Thank you for the reply.
