do your hens yell for treats?

i have noticed that my hens will hear me walking around the house since the windows are open and they know my routine, they stand outside the window which i am at, stare right in and start hollering for food. when i go out in the morning with my cup of food they trip me up by running around my feet as i walk and stare straight up at me and holler. does anyone elses hens share the habbit? sometimes i feed them just to shut 'em up and i think they know this by now lol.

Yup! Mine know the sound of my car in the gravel drive. Gather on the deck and start telling me to get out there and give up some scratch.

Oh yeah, they're smarter than we think they are! Mine see me step out the back door and they start bellering- "Feed us, how dare you walk past us without giving us anything!" It's like a low roar which escalates every second! Hilarious!!

Mine do yell for treats, they get especially excited when they hear the rattle of the plastic bag of birdseed I bring out now and then.

Yes, mine do. In fact, my chickens will herd me to the muscadine grape vines and wait for me to peel grapes for them! Right now the grapes aren't ripe, they're still a little hard and green, so I am expected to break them into pieces for them. They're absolutely nuts about the grapes. I've a feeling there will be no jelly this year.

what a great pic! And just this morning because I went out earlier than usual and didn't want to wake the neighbors with their usual SCREAMING (it's not the bawk, bawk BAAAGAAAAWK of egg laying, it's this steady BBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWKKKKK)!!! when they hear the door open and me coming, I tip-toed and left the door open... They still heard me and probably woke up the neighbors even though we are on an acre! They just know when I'm bringing out apples and yogurt! I know they are Ninja chickens, maybe they are Psychic chickens too.....

Mine don't really cluck or anything, but I keep all the kitchen scraps in a red folgers coffee can and when they see me appear out the back door with that red can they rush the run fence, crawl over each other and then rush me when I enter through the gate.
The egg shells in the slop are the favorite, they each grab one and run around the run bumping into each other, ya know so the other hens don't get what they have, even though they all have the same thing.
