My sister thinks I'm crazy, my mom loves them, and my dad is fine with them because they keep his pond algae free, but grouses about "those worthless animals" whenever I need help with them (like when we built the duck-house) He'll be quiet when they start laying eggs. This is still a brand new thing to my family.. My husband really wanted some ducks.. so, we talked and talked.. and talked all the way to the farm where we picked them up..
And Yup we came home with 4 ducks!

Just earlier this week, they were attacked.. 2 died.. 1 was completely unharmed.. and 1 now only has 1 wing..
We've recovered.. and built them a beautiful enclosure.. and now we're picking up a few more on Sunday!

I LOVE the 2 we have right now.. especially the one who lost her wing. She holds special place in my heart for all she has been through..
I cant wait to get a few more!!

Oh, and Yes, my family and neighbors think we are all nuts.. but, they thought that already.. so who cares!
I just told one of my sisters tonight about the ducks..and all she said was "you have ducks? Why do you have ducks?".

Yeah, that sums it up.. pretty much the same response from everyone else.. Jeez, you'd think they would just expect something like this out of my husband and I by now!
