I searched online and some sources say that rabbits can see in the dark if they eat carrots?

Have you noticed if your rabbits see at night and do you feed them carrots?

I am wondering how am i supposed to know if my rabbit sees in the dark at night, really. If i turn off all the lights and it gets dark, i cannot see a thing, i cannot even see the rabbit, how m i supposed to know if she can see.

From what I understand rabbits have around, I think it was 8-10x better night vision than humans, but not from eating carrots.

eta: I always keep a dim light on for them in the barn at night. I have a feeling cats can see better at night than rabbits??

Rabbits can see in the dark. Carrots have nothing to do with it.

Judging by all the wild rabbits around here I'd say they can see just fine at night. If not they would be easy pickings for the cats, dogs, hawks and coyotes and what ever else out there decides it's hungry. No wild carrots or unguarded gardens out here.

yes rabbits can see at night. mine are most active at night and sleep alot during the day.
