Do your Silkie's get on a roost?

I purchased my Silkies at 3-4 months old. They have a roost available, but don't seem to get on it, instead they all get in a pile on the floor to sleep. If I put them up on the roost, they will stay there for a while. Is that what yours do?

Yep, my silkies all lay on the floor or on the ramp going up to the nest boxes.

Mine kind of will? I have a plastic tub that they like to roost on the edge of.

All of mine pile on the floor... except two young silkie roosters, they roost on the side of the nest boxes. grrrrrr

I used to have 3 male silkies, they climbed up the roosting rack everynight and slept in egg crates my husband attached to the roost, otherwise they would pile up in a corner and sleep.

My silkie hen, who grew up with standards will go on the roost every now
and then. Most of the time she hangs on the floor.

my silkie roos will roost on a roost at night. but my hens pile on the floor. cept my one hen that wont go in the coop...she sleeps in a tree! lol

My silkies roost with the big girls on a 5 ft high roost. I have a ladder for them. That might be why they roost.....cuz I have them with the big girls.
