I had two eggs in a nest that started pipping today, but both stopped progressing. The one who was further along wasn't moving at all, and when we opened the egg it was clearly dead. The other one was still slightly moving this afternoon, but hasn't done anything since then. Could this be because today was the first really hot day of the summer (30C)? Maybe they just exhausted themselves to death in the heat? Bummer!!
