doc plants?

I've got docleaf growing around where my half-growns are, and they seem to like it. Does anyone know if it's harmful to them? I tried googling, but all I got were recipes...

Looks like another form of it is - the curly dock, but not the kind I've got in my yard. It looks like what I have is Rumex obtusifolius

So there's nothing specific about it, and it looks like it's safe for humans up to a point, so maybe it's ok?
