Does a black tip on my BR rooster's comb incicate frostbite?

He looked perfectly normal last night, but when I let everybody out this morning, I noticed that one of the tips on his comb is black.

it is possible but as long as it is not a huge area i would not worry too much it will simply fall off and be fine

is he getting pecked at? my hens occassionaly peck each others combs and the scabs are really dark red almost black.

I just checked on him again, and it does not look like a scab, just a discoloration of the tip. I was under the impression that frostbite starts out red and swollen, or even white, and then turns black later, but he had nothing yesterday. Hmmmm...
