Does a Blood Spot only mean one thing?

Could one of my 'she's' really be a "he"? I always was under the impression a blood spot in the egg signified a fertile egg.. i'm new to this and really hoping they're all ladies!

Blood spots are just that - blood spots. They are caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface during formation of the egg or by a similar accident in the wall of the oviduct.

It's a small part of the ovaduct lining as the egg is forming that got in there. It's normal and you can eat it or pick it out.

There's only one way to know if an egg has been fertilized. You must look at the germinal disk and see if the center has thinned out a bit until it looks like a bullseye. Here's a thread with great photos:
