Here is the only chicken that I haven't seen lay yet. (she just won prettiest hen in the EE contest

Monroe @ 20 weeks (the hackle feathers aren't pointy like in the picture, it is the lacing that makes them look like that)

Monroe just today at 26 weeks (it is pooring rain so I ran out there and took a pic real quick, she was in the middle of cleaning herself)

Mine look just like that now. I put 3 young roosters in a month ago (at 3 1/2 months for them) and now I am seeing the bullseye. (I wasn't before) I didn't think they were old enough yet but the hens have been behaving like hussies around them lately so I wondered. If those aren't bullseyes I really need some more info. They sure look like it to me.

And you have actually witnessed the others laying eggs?
Hmmm.
Those eggs look very fertile.
You should find someone with an incubator near you, and get one days worth of eggs into it, to see what happens.

I have seen all of the others at one time or another go into the nesting boxes being empty before they go in there stay in there for there 10 minutes then leave. Then right after they leave the box I check and there is a warm egg.

No one is crowing. My EE Monroe just looks like a perfect hen, unless she turns out to be a VERY late bloomer.

I guess I am going to have to convince hubby to help me make an incubator or buy one.

I guess that would be the only real way to tell...I also have some ducks eggs that I would like to incubate.

From the pics I can't tell if they ALL have rings around them making them "bullseyes" or maybe just white spots??? One pic sure does look like a bullseye though??? I would keep an eye on them...you would definitely notice if things were "happening" in your backyard..kinda hard to miss!

Well, if one is a Roo I guess you got a NICE BOy since he's so well behaved that he can pass as a GIRL!!!

I can't tell the sex from the pic of him/her??? Keep us up on what happens here! Blessings, Keri
