Does a bullseye always mean fertile?**New Update 2/15 post #31**

Well, that one looks like a pullet. Maybe you'd better post pics of your others, too, because at least one or two of those eggs do appear fertile. Could be wrong, but yeah, they seem to be. In the pink bowl, one looks fertile and the other one does not.

well, with the name 'Monroe' [who looks like a pullet to me, but then so did 3 of my 4 Salmon Faveroles roos!

], at least s/he doesn't need a new name!

I think you need to pop those eggs in a bator and see what happens! Go to a pet store and ask if they get their fish in a styro box [if they don't, they will prob get them in aluminum sided bubble bags, which you could line an old drawer or aquarium with]. I just picked one up that has a 14.5" x 14.5" x 8" interior dimension, check at the local salvage yard for a water heater or other thermostat, racks and fans. You could have a home-made bator by the time you finish gathering your eggs tomorrow! We'll have us another "Hatch-a-hollic before St. Patty's Day!

There are three eggs total that I took pictures of. After I took the pic of them in the white bowl I thought they might show up better against a darker color bowl. So I poured the eggs in to the red bowl and the two with the bullseyes broke. Go figure. The pics with the eggs in the spoons with the blue squares around them are the same eggs that were in the white bowl. I think that two of them have the bullseye and the third which I circled in pink is the regular one.

Ooooh now I get it!!! This is all just a ploy!!! You're really wanting an incubator, aren't you!!

And so you figure if you can get a dozen or so folks here to say that they think the eggs are fertile, and that you're just gonna have to incubate to find out for sure, you'll be able to convince the DH to buy you an incubator!! Clever my girl!! VERY clever!!!

This one definitely belongs with us! She's already figured out how to do an end run around the husband to get the much sought after incubator!!!!

you dont have to have a incubator to find out if it will grow, just put a light on it around 95 degrees and keep it on it for a day or two and it should at least grow some if fertile.... obviously wont have good chances of becoming a chick, but should develop enough to see it better.

option number 2.... maybe you have a fully functioning hermaphrodite that is capable of working both ends!!!

Ok, here are my chickens as of today so they are 26 weeks:

Sorry the pics aren't better, I can't tell how they are going to be until they are downloaded, plus it is still raining. They all do the squat when you pet them.

If it were that simple. But I thought all 7 were hens..so I have no clue how this could happen.

Wow.... none of those look like roosters in the slightest.... there must be some neighbor getting in.... I can't wait to find out how this all comes together... who is hiding in a hens body... is there a neighbor... are they really not fertile? so many questions, so few answers

There is no rooster around me at all. My chickens are in a fully enclosed run/coop and let out only when I am outside. I think there is only two other people with chickens and they live on opposite sides of our little town from me, so no extra chickens running around.
