Does a coop need windows?

I wouldn't have a coop without windows. My girls spend lots of time in our new big coop. They especially hang out in there when it is raining hard. They also love looking out the windows when they are up on their roost. But then my girls are totally spoiled.

We have a big window in the front of our coop which my husband made a removable screen out of hardware cloth for. In the warmer months the birds love sitting on their perch in front of the open (hardware cloth) window. I remove it in the winter and close the glass window. They still sit on the perch and enjoy looking out at the rain and us! Their coop window faces our kitchen window and I believe they watch us at night from their coop.
I also enjoys seeing who's in the nesting boxes and what's going on in the coop without having to go outside.
I VOTE FOR WINDOW!

Here is a couple of pics of mine. You can see it really brightens things up for them!
